1. Tips for watching candidate debates and forums
2. Community Shares of Wisconsin honors Caryl Terrell
The League of Women Voters will be sponsoring several debates around the state, as will a number of other organizations. The first few confirmed candidate forums have been posted in a list of League debates on the state League’s website. The list will be updated as more candidates confirm their participation. Also, the national League offers a Debate Watching 101 website with resources to help viewers get the most out of their debate-watching experience.
If you live in the Madison area, you might want to join Community Shares of Wisconsin (CSW) and Community CHIP for an evening of friends, food, and philanthropy: Thursday, October 14, 5-7 p.m., at Monona Terrace. CSW will honor Caryl Terrell, a member of the League's state Legislative Committee, for her outstanding work to protect Wisconsin's natural resources. Advocacy, activism, and community organizing are hallmarks of CSW's 66 member nonprofits, including the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin Education Fund. CSW groups work to build a more equitable, sustainable future for all of us. For more information, visit: http://www.communityshares.com/n-news/article.asp?id=61 .
