Re: Public Hearing for Assembly Bill 250 and Assembly Bill 390

Dear Rep. Albers:
We were delighted when you scheduled a Public Hearing for AB 250 and AB 390 by the
Committee on Elections and Constitutional Law, and we were disappointed when the hearing
was canceled. We had looked forward to the opportunity to testify to you and the Committee
about why the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin supports these bills, which hold promise
for strengthening Wisconsin’s tradition of open and fair elections.
AB 250 and AB 390 deserve a public hearing and a full discussion and consideration by the
Legislature. We urge you to reschedule the hearing early in January.
