10.10.10 Sustainability Tool Kit for Leagues
The LWVWI Sustainability Task Force is recommending that
local Leagues participate in the global 10.10.10 effort being organized by
350.org. (http://www.350.org/)
The LWVWI
10.10.10 Pledge Challenge asks individuals to publicly commit to take 10
actions over 10 days to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. This project
recognizes the power and responsibility of the individual to respond
effectively to climate change – particularly crucial this year in the face of
government inaction.
The Task
Force is providing a tool kit with a press release, a pledge template, ideas
for disseminating and collecting the pledges, and suggestions for actions that
might be included on the pledge sheet. The toolkit is available
here.
